The Cross brings
sin and my pain,
my sin and my pain,
together with
God’s grace.
There was,
there is
no other way about it.
All other ways
would be insufficient,
irreverent.
And so, I am given
The shoes of the gospel of peace
To walk my time.
Will I wear them?
Will I surrender my way,
For the grace and freedom You give?
You,
Who are the Lord
Who outgives.
