I believe it won't just begin on 14 January 2013 or 10 Janurary 2013.

There is a very definite sense that the soil-bed of my heart is being tilled, ploughed through, again and again.

And according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency,

Prior to planting, the soil needs to be prepared, usually by some form of tillage or chemical "burn-down" to kill the weeds in the seedbed that would crowd out the crop or compete with it for water and nutrients.


There must be a lot of weeds then.
